First remember that you are not your past. You are not your story. These are just interesting experiences that hold lessons for you and everyone else. There is something to this life but it is not the whole “building yourself up” thing. All of these moments through which you live do not really shape you. You shape you. You make decisions and boom! Shit happens. You really do create your reality. People aren’t constantly saying that for no good reason. You are the Master Maker. You must fine tune your skill as a craftsmen does. Each artist has a particular medium that they love most. Or at least I believe that is the case. I know I love various art forms and truly enjoy creating through all of them but I imagine that when it comes to creating one's life, there is one medium which needs to be committed to as “the one”. There Is a specific type of love for this medium that sets it apart. For that reason, I surmise that medium is the correct one to utilize when making a life.
You take that medium and you approach your life with it. Rather than approaching your life with all the matter you collected in your brain as a result of sleepwalking through your life, you say, “Oh good morning! Here I am again with an opportunity to write, paint, strum, dance ... my way through another day.
If each moment was an opportunity for me to experience what I experience when I put pen to page, or fingers to keyboard or voice to recorder, I imagine I would be a lot more authentic and have a lot more integrity. These really are the two most important character traits to me.
If I look at each moment in my life as an opening in which to insert my deepest musing in the most effervescent and articulate way, everything will truly become my story. I will really be the author of my book. I will get to decide how I move, how I talk, how I am presenting myself, how I make money, how I love, how I create, how I pray, how I nurture... I will truly be my Self.

Post Penning:
After writing this piece, I went to a dance party and I engaged with my dance body in the fashion that I engage with the spoken or written word. I truly put into practice this notion that I can apply the channeling of the muse into actions other than my chosen art form. The experience felt divine, it felt REAL, it felt like living in the truest sense of the word!
✨
A Few Questions For You:
Where would you like to apply this channeling of the muse in other areas of your life? Can it become the default mechanism through which you do everything? If so, what would the world look like?
